"The Cobblestone Houses of Upstate New York", compiled by Dorothy Wells Pease. Research done in collaboration with Hazed B. Jeffery, supplemented with material furnished by Carl F. Schmidt, 1941. Reference the sixth paragraph on page 16.
Owner Homer Williams. Mr. Williams acquired farm in 1916 and reported finding small panes of original windows in attic. Four rooms in stone part, two up and two down, each with fireplace. Editor's Note: The Cobblestone Museum Permanent File of Cobblestone Structures for the Aker-Leimann House records the original owner as J Aker. Subsequent owners from 1916 to 1960 are Smith to Garland to Otto Tussow, per verbal conversation with Mr. Tussow. Note that this contradicts the above information. At the time the file was originally prepared: unfortunately, no date recorded, the stated owner was William K. Setting Jr. In addition, the file contains the following deed transfer information - Grantor: Helmut D. Leimann, Grantee: James M. Price, dated and recorded 10/30/1967 Liber 3857, Page 597, sale price $45,000.
